Presently, all Group classes are through Zoom.
Kate Ciannella teaches Aligned Fitness, Tai Chi, Qigong, Breath and Meditation, Reiki Healing Arts – a way of learning how to navigate inside your own body, and falling into synch with your body’s design.
I love teaching, being a guide, helping people free up their body into dimensional movement, range of motion, shifting weight, returning to balance, easy breathing, increased energy and circulation, relaxation of obsessive thinking, sustaining focus, paying attention, increasing mental awareness, and returning to the present where mind, body, and breath do the same thing at the same time.
What I teach is for everyone of all ages. It’s self-discovery; it’s remedial; it’s preventative; it’s connection; it’s a good workout – it’s choosing Life and Health.

Workshops
Having spent the past 30 years exploring the details of my own mind/body connection and interior structural alignment, I’m able to articulate for my students the HOW TO’s for rediscovering and connecting to their own body.
HOW TO:
- Develop relaxed, supple, alive feet. I emphasize feet. They are foundational and carry us through our life.
- Enliven the spine and move it dimensionally.
- Visualize the body’s interior design.
- Recognize physical habits that cause stress, misalignment, pain.
- Create muscle habits and pathways that support fluid alignment.
- Strengthen the back and relax shoulders and neck.
- Sit, in chairs, cars, or on anything. . . COMFORTABLY.
- Cultivate, differentiate, and strengthen all the body’s parts so they function interdependently and integrate into the core.
- Let the bones, not the muscles, hold the body upright.
- Relax muscles so they can move the bones and keep them deeply centered in the joints
- Let the joints open and close freely and be spacers separating bones.
- Develop whole body breathing. Breath is key for life’s vitality, energy, healthfulness. Understanding and supporting diaphragmatic breathing is foundational for other breathing techniques. Using the mind to move breath into the limbs, fingers, toes encourages whole body circulation.
